Feds charges ICE agent with lying about Minneapolis shooting: Report

The Department of Justice has charged ICE agent Christian Castro with making false statements connected to the shooting of a Venezuelan in Minneapolis in January, The Associated Press reports.ICE agent chargedA source tells The Associated Press that Castro is being charged with making false statements in connection with the shooting of Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis.In an update Thursday evening, the source told The Associated Press that Castro has since turned himself in to federal authorities, and remains in custody. Castro claimed he shot Sosa-Celis after being attacked with a shovel and broom while attempting to make an arrest.
