A Krum ISD teacher has been placed on administrative leave after district officials learned of his arrest last week.In a statement, Krum ISD Superintendent Jason Cochran said the district became aware June 10 that Coach Mitchell Davis had been arrested by local law enforcement.According to Denton County jail records, Davis was booked into the Denton County Jail on June 10 and released the same day after posting bond.Jail records show Davis is charged with continuous violence against the family and assault of a family or household member by impeding breathing or circulation. Fort Worth Police continue to investigate a fatal shooting that left an adult man dead Sunday morning on the city's west side.Police tell FOX 4's Dionne Anglin the initial call about the shooting came from someone inside the residence. The individual who made the initial call has not been ruled out as a suspect."We’re just trying to piece together what happened here and, based on the witness, her account of what really happened," Tracy Carter, a spokesperson for the Fort Worth Police Department, told Anglin. An 18-year-old man was fatally shot by police early Monday after allegedly firing at a Sweetwater Police Department patrol vehicle, authorities said.The incident began about 2:20 a.m. when officers conducting routine patrol were fired upon and a police vehicle was struck by gunfire, according to a social media post from the Sweetwater Police Department. Sweetwater police officers returned fire, and the suspect fled on foot.Police later located the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Airick Iriarte, behind a vehicle under a residential carport. Additional officers responded to the scene, and another exchange of gunfire occurred. Iriarte was pronounced dead at the scene.The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure following an officer-involved shooting, authorities said.The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation. A woman died Tuesday night after being caught in the crossfire of a shooting in the courtyard of a northeast Dallas condominium complex, police said.Dallas police responded to a shooting call around 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 9800 block of Walnut Street. Officers arrived to find a woman in the complex courtyard suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported her to a local hospital, where she died shortly after arrival.Investigators believe the woman was an innocent bystander and was not targeted. According to witnesses, unidentified suspects were shooting at each other before fleeing the area. Bullets also struck the building and damaged at least two cars.Anyone with information about the shooting or the suspects is urged to contact the Dallas Police Department.Police have not yet released the identity of the woman. Information regarding the suspects is limited, and it remains unclear what sparked the gunfire or if the suspects knew one another.
