Dallas officer-involved shooting suspect turns himself in, police say

A suspect who allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend and fled after officers fired shots in his direction on Friday morning has turned himself in, police said Saturday.The officer-involved shooting happened around 7 a.m. at the Sunchase Park Apartments in the 8500 block of Park Lane.Dallas police said officers were called to that area for a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, they saw 37-year-old Isidoro Melo-Munoz in the process of stabbing his ex-girlfriend.Officers gave him commands to drop the knife, and police said one officer fired a shot at him. The injured female was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds. Family members identified her as Maria Santos Martinez.
