Two injured in DART derailment in downtown Dallas

Two passengers were treated for minor injuries after a DART train derailed in downtown Dallas on Saturday afternoon.

According to a DART spokesman, the Orange Line northbound train made contact with a Southbound Green Line train at around 1:15 p.m. at St. Paul Station.

The trains collided in St. Paul and Bryan streets. The two injured passengers were taken to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, the spokesman said.

DART officials are working to determine why the train derailed.

DART advised passengers on the green, orange, red and blue lines to be prepared for delays. Shuttle buses were available to take drivers from Victory Station to Deep Ellum Station and from Pearl / Arts District Station to EBJ Union Station.
