Stars & S’mores at the Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center
This unique event features toasted S’Mores around the campfire while telescopes allow guests to enjoy a night looking out at the sky. There are also guided night walks for people of all ages, hot chocolate, lawn games, arts and crafts for kids, and a great discount for souvenir shops. Animal encounters are possible for an additional fee. Tickets start at $ 5 and the event starts at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
Monday 20th January
The Shake up at Armory, DE
Women make a splash in this classic cocktail competition that features some of the best on the Dallas drinking scene. Guests choose two Tromba Tequila and Cointreau cocktails and then help determine the winners by casting a vote for their favorite. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity for women. The competition starts at 9 p.m.
MLK Day Brunch at The Rustic
If you happen to have a day off from Martin Luther King Jr., take this opportunity to enjoy brunch in Uptown. The special Monday brunch takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and features live music by Joseph Veazie at 12:30 p.m.
