Tarrant Area Food Bank Resumes Food Distribution Events Thursday – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
The Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) is hosting four food distribution events from Thursday February 18 through Monday February 22 to help those in need of food.
The events were created to provide food aid to those who are lacking resources due to record breaking temperatures, power outages and the lack of food in local grocery stores.
TAFB encourages anyone in need of food aid to attend the events listed below, all of which are held in Fort Worth.
- An Emergency Food Box Distribution will take place on Thursday, February 18, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the TAFB Emergency Center at 2600 Cullen Street.
- Friday, February 19, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. TAFB’s weekly Mega Mobile Market takes place at Herman Clark Stadium on 5201 CA Roberson Boulevard.
- A special sales event will be held at Herman Clark Stadium on Saturday, February 20th from 2pm to 4pm.
- Monday February 22nd, 10am to 1pm, is another special sales event at Herman Clark Stadium.
TAFB employees will fully run the event in their distribution center and do not need volunteers.
Staff will also provide SNAP support and answer questions about the SNAP application process. Individuals can also get help filling out and submitting the SNAP application if needed.
TAFB is asking for volunteers for distribution events at Herman Clark Stadium. The volunteers are tasked with registration, traffic control and food distribution.
