Sleek New Restaurant Royal 38 Opens in Uptown Dallas Next Week

A new restaurant and bar, designed to offer Dallas guests cocktail service at the table, will open next week at the Union.

Royal 38, the latest project from the founders of the popular Deep Ellum Bar HIDE, opens on November 18th at 2301 North Akard Street. The bar offers an extensive selection of juicy drinks categorized according to taste profiles and a “one-of-a-king cocktail experience” that includes drinks at the table and gives guests a front row seat for the bartender. Process offers. Like HIDE, Royal 38’s cocktail list will include herbal gin drinks, sparkling wine sprinkles, and liquor drinks as they take up the Manhattan.

(HIDE is currently temporarily closed due to the coronavirus, and Royal 38 is not to be confused with the Katy Trail restaurant of the same name, which opened in 2016.)

In addition to dozens of craft cocktails, Royal 38’s menu includes a diverse selection of dishes such as lobster corn fritters, chicken schnitzel with creamy spaetzle and a vegan grain bowl with farro, sugar snap peas, Brussels sprouts, grilled portobellos and champagne vinaigrette. The restaurant also offers a juicy brunch with plates like lobster benedict, French toast filled with fresh berries and custard anglaise, and huevos rancheros.

On its debut, Royal38 is open Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
