New Uptown Dallas hotel set to debut in January

The newest hotel in Uptown Dallas will open its doors next month.

The Marriott Dallas Uptown has been under construction on Fairmount Street near Turtle Creek for nearly two years. The 14-story hotel with 255 rooms is a project by Alamo Manhattan of Dallas and was designed by WDG Architecture.

“Uptown Dallas is a vibrant neighborhood in the city and we are excited to join the scene,” said Robbie Tawil, general manager of Marriott Dallas Uptown, in a statement. “Our hotel is ready to become an integral part of the uptown community, providing a place to cry, eat and relax for residents and travelers alike.”

The hotel has a rooftop pool deck with views of downtown.

There is 13,000 square feet of meeting space and a full-service restaurant on the ground floor.

The hotel is a short walk from the Katy Trail.

The Marriott Dallas Uptown is one of two new hotels in Uptown.

The developer Harwood International is building a more than 20-story luxury hotel tower on McKinnon Street near Cedar Springs Road.
