Meghan Trainor Gives Birth, Welcomes First Baby With Daryl Sabara – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
It’s all about that bass baby.
Meghan Trainor is officially a mother. The singer gave birth to her first child with her two-year-old husband Daryl Sabara, a little boy named Riley.
“This cute boy’s due date was Valentine’s Day today. We have to meet him on Monday, February 8th!” Trainor wrote on Instagram on Sunday alongside photos of the couple’s son. “We are so in love [crying emoji]. Thanks to @darylsabara for the best Valentine’s Day gift! Welcome to the world of Riley! “
In one picture, baby Riley is sleeping peacefully while zipping up a SNOO Smart Sleeper bassinet. He is also shown up close and looking at the camera. Another picture shows Trainor meeting the couple’s son for the first time, and another picture shows Sabara feeding Riley a bottle.
The proud father posted the same photos on his own page and wrote: “Riley 7lbs 8oz 2/8/21 ps- @meghan_trainor you are my eternal Valentine’s Day and I am extremely grateful that you gave birth to our son [red heart emoji]. “
In October, 27-year-old Trainor distributed the news she was expecting on Instagram.
“You all know how long I’ve wanted this !!!!” Sabara, the actor best known for “Spy Kids”, said at the time: “I love you @meghan_trainor and I can’t wait to start a family with you.”

Trainor revealed her baby’s gender on Kelly Clarkson’s show later that month.
“We have never told anyone before … I saved it for you, Kelly, I love you,” she said before sharing that she had a little boy.
The singer “Dear Future Husband” had a pretty difficult pregnancy. She announced on Dec. 2 that when the parents were diagnosed with gestational diabetes, they encountered a “little bump in the road” that can cause high blood sugar, which can be managed with a healthy diet and fitness.
Trainor said TODAY, “It’s manageable and okay. And I’m healthy and the baby is healthy.” She thought it was “nice to learn so much about food and health during her maternity journey”.
A week later, the best new artist Grammy winner gave fans a health update, saying, “I’m basically just watching what I eat now, I write it all down, I check my blood, and we’re good now. . I was crushing it. “
She also admitted TODAY that the holiday season was particularly tough because of COVID-19.
“With quarantine, it’s definitely harder to be creative at home and then because we’re pregnant we don’t drink, don’t celebrate, don’t celebrate,” explained the new mother. “And so our next thought was, ‘OK eat, like’ let’s go in ‘, but now with gestational diabetes we have to say,’ Let’s count every carbohydrate we eat. ‘ At this point I don’t know what we can do to celebrate. “
Her only major fear was that her mother, Kelli Trainor, was not in the delivery room due to pandemic protocols.
“I’m afraid of giving birth and can’t have my mother in the room,” said the musician in a recent radio interview. “Because you can barely let your husband into the room, but I say, ‘But I need my mom.'”
But she also awakened some positive memories during her pregnancy. For her and Sabara’s second wedding anniversary in December, the couple shared some new baby bump pictures on social media. As the singer wrote to her love: “Thank you for giving me the best present ever.”
