Maquette gets Bryce Dallas Howard and March release date
Graceful Decays Maquette now has a March release date as well as a newly revealed star cast.
It’s been almost a year since Annapurna Interactive first announced it was releasing Graceful Decay’s visually stunning Maquette puzzle game. There were few details about the game at the time, but one of the most important was that it would follow the entire cycle of a relationship that began in a coffee shop. On Monday, the publisher revealed the voices behind the people in this relationship, as well as a new release date.
Monday’s trailer revealed that Jurassic World’s Bryce Dallas Howard and Fringe Maquettes’ Seth Gabel would be the voice of two main characters. They play a couple who first met in a cafe and reflect on their memories, which manifest themselves in the form of various first-person puzzles. Players are challenged to solve these puzzles and rewarded with dazzling images that evoke love, loss and acceptance.
Hanford Lemoore of Graceful Decay first designed Maquette to express the cycle of a relationship through images of the California Bay Area. Maquette is based on many landmarks and scenes from the architecture and surroundings of Lemoore’s hometown of San Francisco. Lamoore showed the first prototype maquette at the Game Developers Conference 2011. After years in development, Annapurna Interactive came along last year and took over the publishing rights.
“While the fantastic puzzles and recursive reality of Maquette provide the ‘a-ha’ moments, Bryce and Seth convey the emotional heartbeat of the story,” Lemoore said in a press release. “The message behind Maquette is truly one of understanding – understanding in the physical world, in the mind and in the heart. The incredible accomplishments of Bryce and Seth will bring this message to life.”
This has been a busy year for Annapurna Interactive. The team has more than one indie game in the pipe for 2021, including Luis Antonios Twelve Minutes, Variable Slates Last Stop, Beethover & Dinosaur’s The Artful Escape, and Fullbrights Open Roads. It looks like Maquette will be released before any of these games, as the publisher confirmed a release in March along with today’s trailer.
Maquette will be available on March 2nd for PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 and will sell for $ 19.99.

But he was withdrawn after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision. Most of the time he spent time pushing the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a huge fan of platformer, puzzle games, shooters, and role-playing games to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge fan of anything that has a good, compelling narrative behind it. After all, what are video games if you can’t enjoy a good story with a fresh cherry coke?
