Mantua residential community north of Dallas readies the first of thousands of homes
The first homes are under construction in a huge North Texas community that opens its doors next month.
The 3,000 acre Mantua Settlement is located on US Highway 75 in Counties Collin and Grayson.
The parish, which stretches between the towns of Anna and Van Alstyne, could eventually have 6,000 homes plus commercial developments.
Developer Risland US Holdings started work on the project in late 2019. The first houses will open in March. The first phase includes 223 single-family homes.
“It’s very exciting to see the first phase of Mantua come to life,” said Michael Hanschen, Vice President, Development, Risland. “Our goal from the beginning was to offer our residents incomparable amenities, high-quality clients and a high-level school zone.”
Builders such as David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Perry Homes and Risland Homes are building apartments in the Mantua community. Prices start at $ 280,000.
“As you know, the market for single-family houses continues to set records and we received a great welcome from the clients for our Mantua project,” said Hanschen.
Mantua includes a community center with swimming pools, an open-air pavilion, playgrounds and walking trails. The development is planned with 25 miles of hiking trails and 275 acres of parkland.
The Collin and Grayson Counties project is one of several major developments that Risland is working on in North Texas.
The international construction company operates worldwide and has its US office in Plano. In addition to developing the community, Risland is building its own houses.
Risland is also building a 600 house community called Legacy Gardens in Prosper.
