Local Food Truck Provides Thousands of Meals for North Texans in Need – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Ruthies Food Trucks is synonymous with good food and good deeds in North Texas. They continued their mission to care for their community on Friday by feeding 150 workers at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center. It is part of their relief efforts after the historic winter storm.

“The Boston Celtics, who were in town for a game at the time with the Dallas Mavericks Foundation, wanted to help and feed people in need. That’s why they turned to Ruthie and worked with them to feed hundreds of people Friday and Saturday, “said spokeswoman Kimber Westphall.

During the pandemic and troubled times, Ruthie’s has continued to deliver their signature grilled cheese sandwiches to those who do the most for the safety of North Texans.

“Ruthie’s has been instrumental in feeding our front line workers for almost a year. Over 6,000 meals have been donated to local hospital and medical workers, first responders, homeless shelters, senior centers, nonprofits and more, ”Westphall said.
