Hoffmann Homes to build in East Dallas’ new green community
The Dallas Builders Association’s House of the Week is located at 2119 Autumn Sage Place in Abode @ White Rock, a new single family green community in East Dallas developed by 4Tree Development LLC.
“The purpose of the design for this community is to manage energy and resources wisely. Abode @ White Rock succeeds by making conscious choices for every aspect of development, ”said a company spokesperson.
The builder Hoffmann Homes, known for sustainable single-family home construction, will present his well thought-out and award-winning design styles in each of the eight houses in the community. Architectural styles such as modern farmhouse and modern mid-century surround a pocket park with mature trees, native plants and a cistern for watering the site. The houses will have 2,400 to 3,100 square meters of living space.
The 300-square-foot home – a modern mid-century design with four bedrooms, four bathrooms – is built from insulated concrete walls by Fox Blocks and includes a highly efficient multi-zone Lennox air conditioning system, a tankless water heater, and a natural gas fireplace. The kitchen will be equipped with Frigidaire appliances with built-in fridge / freezer columns and an insulated concrete pantry that doubles as a safe and secure space for severe weather events. In addition, the kitchen has custom-made wooden cabinets and opens to a large room and dining area with a high ceiling. Andersen’s highly efficient windows look out onto the large veranda and courtyard.
The luxurious master bathroom has a free-standing bathtub and separate shower. The spacious laundry room has space for a full size washer and dryer and has closets and a built in counter and sink. The house will also have smart home pre-wiring for multiple audiovisual locations and a security system.
Hoffmann Homes’ commitment to environmentally friendly building and thoughtful design includes careful selection of building materials, the spokesman said. This includes exterior paneling from James Hardie, heavy-duty hardwood floors and quartz countertops from MSI. Meeting this commitment to quality includes third party verification with the following Green programs: Net Zero Ready, Energy Star, and Green Built Texas Department of Energy certification. “Net Zero Ready” means these homes are ready for solar energy and can eliminate the homeowner’s electricity bill, the spokesman said. Every house also includes a StrucSure Home guarantee.
Prices for homes in the Abode @ White Rock development start at $ 749,000. Further information can be found at www.hoffmannhomes.com.
