Gathering Place’s Tony Moore headed to Dallas for new challenge | Politics

Jeff Stava, director and trustee of Tulsas Gathering Place LLC, has been impressed with Moore since the day he met him.

“He just had a lot of experience that made him the ultimate candidate to start the operation, start the staff, and start our operations and programming group,” said Stava. “We just couldn’t imagine it was better than it is.”

Moore is just as fond of Stava and calls him the best boss he could ever ask for.

“It was he that made this decision so difficult,” said Moore.

But sometimes new opportunities arise and the direction of one’s life changes.

“I think five years has something to do with a ring of closure and maybe a sense of achievement,” said Moore. “There is a time when every company, every project needs a healthy dose of freshness, and I think this is a good transition window for a talented, brilliant park operator to align with the city and the foundation to really do this reach the next level. “

Moore said one of the most important and fulfilling aspects of working on Gathering Place was the park’s commitment to serve all Tulsans. His expectation and belief is that the mission will continue regardless of who follows him.

“I hope that Gathering Place continues to embrace all communities and continues our efforts to be active and engaged in the North Tulsa community,” said Moore.
