Dallas Safari Club Hosts 2021 Convention Selling Cruel Trophy Hunting Trips Virtually

The Dallas Safari Club 2021 will be held practically between February 10th and 14th this year. Trophy hunters and outfitters will gather alongside other companies to promote this gruesome sport.

They will buy and sell rights to kill animals, including elephants and polar bears, and promote canned hunts in the United States, South Africa, and Argentina. According to the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), 849 exhibitors will show and participate virtually.

Kitty Block, President and CEO of the United States Humane Society, said: “A pandemic does not put a brake on the hideous trophy hunting industry and the shameless conventions that celebrate the violent, unnecessary slaughter of wild animals. As millions of people struggle to survive the pandemic, trophy hunters spend millions of dollars on grim trot runs, shooting beloved, iconic animals to brag about rights, and collections of heads hanging on the wall. “

According to HSUS, the following will be available at the virtual convention:

  • 849 exhibitors from 32 countries will take part virtually
  • 351 of these exhibitors offer hunting trips to kill 319 species, including endangered black rhinos, cheetahs, brown bears and kangaroos in 70 countries
  • 183 hunts in 24 countries were donated to auction to kill over 200 animals from leopards to bears
  • 16 canned hunts of exotic and native species will be auctioned in the United States
  • The most expensive auction hunt is for a desert big horn sheep in Mexico worth $ 70,000
  • Auction items are expected to generate more than $ 3.5 million for the Dallas Safari Club, which campaigns against wildlife conservation measures

Items to be auctioned include hunting kits that allow customers to hunt at least 319 species in 70 countries. The offer includes hunts for African animal elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and Cape buffalo.
