Dallas police investigating after fatal shooting in southeast Oak Cliff

Updated at 11:10 am: Revised to include the victim’s identity.

Police are investigating a fatal shootout in southeast Oak Cliff early Sunday morning.

The officers were called to the 4,500 block on South Great Trinity Forest Way Service Street at around 3:15 a.m., where they found a man who had been shot.

Police initially said the victim, identified as 27-year-old Lawrence Ikem Eshad Baker, died in a hospital but was later found dead in his car.

No one was detained in connection with the Sunday morning shooting. The police did not provide any information about any suspect or suspect or any details of what led to the shooting.
