Dallas-area man charged in Jan. 6 assault on the US Capitol | Texas

DALLAS (AP) – A north Texas man was arrested Wednesday after being charged with participating in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Court files filed in the Sherman Federal District Court on Tuesday accuse 49-year-old Daniel Ray Caldwell of assaulting a federal official, entering for limited reasons, forcible entry for those reasons and participating in civil unrest.

Further details on the allegations were not immediately available.

Caldwell was admitted to Collin County Jail in McKinney without bail.
