Best Things To Do in Dallas This Weekend — Mixology Classes, Holiday Markets, and Outdoor Comedy

From mixology classes and holiday markets to outdoor comedy shows, these are the best things to do this December weekend in Dallas.

Market in Meyerson

All week long, Dallas is invited to visit the superb museum gift shops in the Dallas Arts District. Visit the Crow Museum’s Lotus Shop for Asian rarities, the DMA for artistic finds, and the Nasher Sculpture Center for whimsical gifts that you won’t find anywhere else in town, daily from 12:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Click here to see all of your artsy shopping options.

Mixology course at Seely’s Mill

This Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. visit the new Seely’s Mill barbecue site in the Beeman Hotel for a mixology course. Working with The People’s Last Stand, the class teaches guests how to make classic cocktails. Tickets are $ 55 per person and include a champagne toast and two cocktails that you prepare along with canapes.

Christmas lights in the Dallas West End

The West End of Dallas is hosting a family-friendly, socially distant holiday this Friday and Saturday. Stroll the neighborhood to see Christmas lights and catch specials on themed cocktails from Gators, RJ’s, 3 Eleven, Ellen’s, Burger IM, and more. Kokopelli Sweets is also offering 20 percent off all weekend, and Wild Bill’s Western Store will host a custom boat designer in-store.

Festival of Fun: Outdoor Comedy Show & Holiday Market

The Stomping Ground Comedy Theater is hosting a socially distant outdoor vacation event this Saturday from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The evening features food, drinks, vendors, and two comedy shows sponsored by Steam Theory Brewing (which will also be selling beer). The 4:30 pm show features magician Mike Williams (and is family-friendly) and the 7:00 pm show features a stand-up comedy by local comedians Latrice Wilkerson and Tony Casillas (adults only). Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Halliday Cheer Bar Crawl at Legacy Hall

This Saturday evening, there will be a holiday beer crawl at Planos Legacy Hall from 10 p.m. to midnight. For $ 45 per person, you can try four vacation cocktails, including a hot butter rum, apple cider, Christmas Cosmo, and Black Sheep Nitro Ale. Your admission also gives you access to a live show by the Fleetwood Mac tribute band Forever Mac. Costumes are recommended and masks are required.
