Best Breweries in Dallas: Where to Drink Beer in Town This Fall

North Texas didn’t shape the craft beer scene until 2004 when the Rahr & Sons Brewing Company opened in Fort Worth and tapped a collective barrel that has not been dry since then. Other early entrants to craft beer production, Franconia Brewing, Deep Ellum Brewing Company, Peticolas Brewing Company, Lakewood Brewing, Four Corners Brewing Company, and Community Beer Co., have become household names over the past decade and a half, but also locally has become well beyond the borders of Texas.

Now the local craft beer market is booming bigger than ever. 17 breweries were opened in 2019 alone. It’s a new golden (ale) age for juicy fermented drinks of all kinds, and we can thank the beer pioneers who paved the way for cideries like Bishop Cider Co. and emerging, cross-border nano-brewers like Happy Hippie Brewery. In addition to all of the companies listed here, here is a 12 pack of other great Dallas-Fort Worth breweries that you need to know about.
