Asian street food and mixology restaurant Anju coming to Uptown Dallas

Anju – a Korean term for food consumed with alcohol – is the name of a new restaurant coming to Uptown Dallas. And yes, alcohol is a big part of it.

The “upscale Asian street food concept” from One Esca owner Michael Kim and chef Don Flores focuses on a creative mixology selection paired with shared Asian fusion dishes with flavors from China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam and Thailand. It is located in the former local government bar at 2901 Thomas Ave.

Although the “full experience is not currently available” with the restaurant not officially opening until the spring of 2021, Anju is currently testing the menu and training staff by serving dinner and brunch for dinner, takeaway and third party delivery.

The atmosphere of the 3,000 square meter restaurant with a 2,000 square meter terrace will be “fun and relaxation” with an “affordable price”. The menu includes Karaage Chicken ($ 8), Drunken Noodles ($ 13), and Kimchi and Pork Belly Tacos ($ 15). The drinks menu includes drinks such as soju, somaek and cocktails.

Anju is located at 2901 Thomas Ave. citycouncilbar.com.
