North Texas will be placed under an Extreme Heat Warning tomorrow as the region tied its hottest day of the year in 2026 on Monday, with no relief from the heat in sight.Monday brings record-tying heat for 2026Dallas-Fort Worth experienced temperatures as high at 106 degrees on Monday, August 17. A multi-agency crackdown on human trafficking and child exploitation during the FIFA World Cup in North Texas resulted in more than 50 arrests.Law enforcement officials announced Monday that 56 people were arrested and dozens of potential trafficking victims were identified during Operation Red Card.Undercover stings target sex buyers, child exploitationTen of the 56 people arrested are accused of trying to meet minors for sex, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office. A Tarrant County judge has issued a temporary restraining order blocking the town of Westlake from moving forward with plans for a data center project.Westlake Data CenterWestlake Town Council’s special meeting on Monday was set to begin at 4 p.m. Council members were planning to vote on a development agreement for the Circle T data center, which will be located near the Westlake and Keller border.Monday’s meeting was not about whether the data center should be on the land. That’s already been decided.Instead, the council planned to decide on things like architecture and landscaping requirements to ensure proper installation and care of the infrastructure.However, a Keller homeowner’s association filed a lawsuit.
