FIFA World Cup: Team Sweden holds open practice in Frisco

There are just a few days left until the 2026 FIFA World Cup officially begins, and the Swedish national team gave fans in Frisco an up-close look at their squad on Tuesday.Team Sweden Practices In FriscoThe Sweden men's national team held an open practice at Toyota Stadium (officially called Frisco Stadium during the World Cup) on Tuesday morning.More than 2,000 Frisco residents and FC Dallas season ticket holders won tickets through a lottery system to watch the practice.Local fans were also treated to a familiar face: Sweden defender Herman Johansson plays professionally for FC Dallas. He was called up to his national squad on May 30."I recognize a lot of stuff here, so I’ve been able to give little tips to the guys, so it’s been good," Johansson said.Team Sweden comes into this World Cup ranked 38th overall. FIFA World Cup: Jordanian restaurant in Richardson ready for country's first tournament appearance

Ahead of the country's first ever appearance in the World Cup, a Richardson restaurant that serves cuisine from Jordan is ready to give fans the taste of the Middle Eastern country.Jordanian food in North TexasThere are nearly a dozen Khashoka restaurants across the Middle East. The restaurant's first store in the United States was opened in Richardson in 2025.The store's owner, Muhammad Albakri, says Khashoka imports more than 90% of their ingredients directly from Jordan."We’re the only restaurant in DFW that imports almost everything from Jordan to maintain the authenticity of our food," Albakri tells FOX 4's David Sentendrey.The store's name means "a spoon that feeds everyone." Albakri, who grew up in Jordan, says more than half of Khashoka's clientele aren't Jordan-Americans."We have a lot of items that are unique."
