Parker County grass fire 70% contained after threatening structures

Firefighters in Parker County battled the "Red Bank Fire" on Tuesday near Horseshoe Bend, the Brazos River, and the Hood County line.According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, the fire has burned about 207 acres and is about 70% contained as of Wednesday morning.The flames were quite intense for a while, whipping through grass and trees at a fast pace. Images from SKY 4 also showed the flames swirling and getting close to several structures.The forest service said crews reacted quickly to get it under control and the fire behavior has since calmed down.There’s no word yet on how the fire started or if any structures were lost.
