Hundreds honor North Texas soldier Isabella Gonzales at memorial

A North Texas community came together Saturday to honor fallen 19-year-old U.S. Army Pvt. Isabella Gonzales with an Honor Ride, memorial service and celebration of life.Isabella Gonzales RememberedAn Honor Ride for Gonzales began Saturday morning at Maverick Harley-Davidson in Carrollton, traveling along Interstate 35E, up Josey Lane to Hebron High School before returning on Old Denton Road to the dealership.Hundreds of people took part in the ride to honor Gonzales, who grew up in Carrollton and graduated from Hebron High School in 2025 before joining the U.S. Army.At Hebron High School, participants observed a moment of silence in Gonzales' memory.The Carrollton American Legion also held a fundraiser during the event, with proceeds going directly to Gonzales' family."We're all heartbroken and just want to do what we can to help out. Large metal object shuts down southbound DNT at I-635

All southbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway are currently shut down near the Galleria in Dallas because of a large piece of equipment that fell off a tractor-trailer.According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 5 p.m. on Thursday on the southbound side of the tollway at Interstate 635.Images from SKY 4 showed a large piece of equipment on the roadway and damage to the underside of an overpass.DPS officials said the tag on the equipment indicates it's an industrial oven weighing in at 34,000 pounds.The North Texas Tollway Authority confirmed that all southbound lanes of the tollway are currently shut down. Traffic is being diverted from the DNT at the I-635 West exit.Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area or expect heavy traffic and delays for the remainder of the rush hour.There's no estimate on when the tollway will reopen.

Over $100,000 stolen from homes under renovation in Kessler Park

A man who has lived in the Kessler Park neighborhood of Dallas for more than two decades says he's never had an issue with theft until a recent home remodeling project. Now, he's had over $100,000 stolen from his home.Kessler Park burglaries"Ransacked the home. Crowley ISD bus driver fired after leaving pre-K student on hot bus for hours

A bus driver in Crowley ISD had their employment terminated after a child was left on a bus following morning service.Crowley ISD bus driver firedCrowley ISD says it has terminated the employment of a bus driver in the district after they left a child on a school bus following morning service on Thursday, July 23.The child, a pre-kindergarten student, was found on the bus in a Durham School Services parking lot.
