Dallas Police detectives are on the hunt for serial robbery suspects in East Oak Cliff that have burglarized the same convenience store three times since June 20.Oak Cliff serial robbersDallas Police believe the same two suspects have been robbing Friendly Food Mart, located at 2200 Cedar Crest Boulevard in East Oak Cliff.The convenience store has been robbed a total of three times since June: first on June 20, second on June 26, and third on July 9.The incidents have happened as the store closes for the night, with the masked suspects brandishing AR-15-style weapons and forcing the cashier to open the register and take money out.A security guard was placed inside the store following the first two robberies, but she too was robbed of her firearm during the third burglary.Nobody has been physically assaulted during any of the three robberies.Dallas Police investigation"Everyone in the area is scared. A plane full of pet supply donations will arrive in the Texas Hill Country soon to help those affected by the deadly flooding last week.Wings of Rescue Humanitarian FlightOn Thursday, Wings of Rescue volunteers spent the morning loading 18,000 pounds of donations onto a plane on a private airstrip in Addison.The plane will deliver pet food, veterinary supplies, pet crates, and other essentials for pets to the areas impacted by the floods.Wings of Rescue, a nonprofit organization dedicated to flights that help at-risk pets, said many shelters in the Texas Hill Country are far beyond capacity as families deal with the loss of their homes. The organization coordinated with the Humane Society of North Texas, Operation Kindness, the SPCA of Texas, and other supporters to collect donations."Best Friends Animal Society, along with Austin Pets Alive are going to be unloading, and from there, they will distribute directly to the families who are in need. I mean, it's just so well orchestrated.

The Prosper Independent School District is backtracking on a newly hired law enforcement teacher after learning he was previously arrested for domestic violence.Prosper ISD Teacher FiredLuis Moreno was hired to serve as a law enforcement teacher at Prosper High School. On Wednesday, the school announced Moreno’s hiring on its social media pages. However, the post was deleted after several comments mentioned his past arrest and criminal charges.Moreno is a former police officer with the McKinney Police Department.According to court records, he was arrested in 2022 for assaulting his girlfriend at the time. A police report states the two were at a restaurant when Moreno physically grabbed her several times and bit her ear. Witnesses told police she screamed, shoved him away, and ran off before Moreno grabbed her arm again.Collin County court records show Moreno took a plea agreement that reduced the charges down to a Class C misdemeanor.Prosper ISD confirmed Moreno was placed on administ
