Xavier Landum, the Dallas rapper who goes by the stage name BigXthaPlug, was arrested on Friday and booked into the Collin County Jail on multiple charges.BigXthaPlug arrestedCourt records show Landum was arrested by the Allen Police Department and booked into the Collin County Jail on Friday, August 21.The Collin County Jail website states Landum has been charged with driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession of less than 2 ounces, and unlawful possession of a firearm.BigXthaPlug was scheduled to perform at the Country Rising Festival on Friday, but missed his apparearance with what the festival called a "personal emergency" on their Instagram page.We don't know the details that led to Landum's arrest.Who is BigXthaPlug?Xavier Landum is a Dallas native who began his music career in 2023. Dallas leaders pointed to the success the city had hosting FIFA Fan Fest this summer as a key reason more events could be held at Fair Park in the future."I think it was the best learning experience we could have had."The Dallas Parks and Recreation Board discussed this summer's FIFA Fan Festival Dallas held at Fair Park during a Thursday meeting.Parks and Rec leaders branded the event as a huge success. During its 30 days of operation, the watch parties saw high attendance and no major incidents.Brett Wulke, the General Manager of Fair Park, said the next step is to streamline the process for fans attending events at Fair Park."How can we have streamlined our parking and traffic over there, and how can we really incorporate our residents and other activations through the campus?"
