On November 18, at around 11:20 p.m., police responded to a shooting call on the 2700 block on Cedar Springs Road and discovered that Mark Albert Mitchell Martin was shot on the spot. Martin was taken to a hospital, police said.

The suspect, 25-year-old Isaac Aguirre, was arrested and initially charged with grievous bodily harm with a lethal weapon, police said.

The police did not reveal any details about a motive or what led to the shooting.

Martin died of his injuries on December 13, police said, and the case was assigned to the Department’s Homicide Squad.

Aguirre is now facing increased murder charges, the police said. As of Tuesday morning, he will be held in Dallas County Jail on a $ 100,000 bond issue.
