2 people killed in northwest Dallas crash, police say
Two people died in a crash early Sunday in northwest Dallas, police said.
Police said the victims, a 49-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman, were traveling north on the 11900 block of Webb Chapel Road near I-635 when another person was following on the Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway East drove road ran a red light and hit their vehicle.
The victims’ vehicle hit a retaining wall and they died on the scene. The police did not reveal their names on Sunday morning.
The driver who caused the accident fled, police said. They did not say what charges he might face. A passenger in his vehicle was arrested and taken to Parkland Hospital with minor injuries.
