2 people dead in separate Dallas killings in final hour of 2020

According to the Dallas Police Department, investigators are looking for tips to find someone involved in the deaths of two people who were killed separately in the final hour of 2020. This makes it one of the city’s deadliest years in over a decade.

One of the victims was found by officers shot dead on the 1200 block of Grant Street in East Oak Cliff, police said. Someone reported the shooting to 911 just before 11 p.m. Thursday. The wounded person was rushed to hospital, where he later died.

Another person was stabbed multiple times on the 6500 block of CF Hawn Freeway in Pleasant Grove, police said. The officers responded to the area around 11:20 p.m. He was also taken to a hospital where he died.

Her identity, identified by authorities as men, has not been released, and Dallas police have not announced any suspects or arrests in either case.

According to the latest data from the Dallas Police Department, 247 people were killed on Tuesday. It was a nearly 23% increase from the total of 201 murders in 2019.
