2 Dallas officers hospitalized after crash with pickup in northwest Dallas; driver arrested
Two Dallas police officers traveling to help a colleague with an overnight shooting call were hospitalized after a pickup truck got in their way in northwest Dallas and caused a collision.
The crash occurred on Saturday around 12:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of the Webb Chapel Extension on the Northwest Highway north of Bachman Lake, where officers were driving north in their patrol car.
When her car reached the junction on West Northwest Highway with the sirens on and the lights flashing, a south-facing Chevy Silverado turned left into its path.

Both officers were hospitalized in stable condition. Pictures from the scene showed the mutilated patrol car on a curb near a power pole behind which the damaged pickup was at the intersection.
The driver of the Silverado suffered minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of a poisoning attack on a peace officer.
